Jellystone Park, Wisconsin Dells
Back in July, we took a family trip to Jellystone Park. We did a Sun-Thurs thing in order to avoid so many people. It was a very long trip, probably too long for 3- and 5-year-olds. By Wednesday Cailey was saying she wanted to go home!! We spent a lot of time at the pool...a LOT. Unfortunately, Caleb wasn't tall enough to go on the big waterslide...he was bummed about that. They had "Hey Rides" every day at 11 and 9, as well as many other activities for the kids that involved the Yogi characters. We met Yogi, Boo Boo and Cindy, but no pictures of Cindy, unfortunately. We met lots of really nice people...but most of them didn't know where Chippewa Falls was. I was surprised about that. A lot of them were from southern Wisconsin, as well as Illinois, though, so I guess that would make sense. ANYWAY, we had a great time and as I'm typing this I'm really missing the camper. We had some good times this summer. Not looking forward to being cooped up this winter. Looking forward to next spring to get going again...hopefully some of you will catch the camping bug and join us!!! :)

Saxon Harbor, Labor Day Weekend

Saxon Harbor, Labor Day Weekend
This labor day weekend was spent with the Sanborns at their cabin in Saxon Harbor on Lake Superior. It was a wonderful experience, we had amazing weather and the kids had a blast. We spent a lot of time at the beach. The water was gorgeous...cold but beautiful. Saturday night we enjoyed a feast of leg of lamb, salmon and all the delicious fixins'. Italians really are the best cooks! (I'm biased, I know!)

Very cool wood carving

Gitchee Gumee...a float constructed by Holly's father and company. Coolest thing ever.

Getting ready for our Saturday night feast of lamb and salmon. Mmmm...delish!!
