Catching up...

Spring has sprung and we have officially come out of our hibernation. We don't appreciate the snow like others do and basically hide inside our warm house by the fire until the snow melts. Below is a link to photos of some of the eventful things we've done since Christmas...and there isn't much. We spent the Superbowl at Becky and Kevin's...New Year's at the Ramada in downtown Eau Claire. Easter with Dan's family and traveled to Cumberland for Caleb and Grandpa Donny's birthdays and a trip to Timberland for the night. We also participated in an egg hunt at the Lafayette town hall...and that was plenty of chaos for the month! Our biggest news is our new addition...no, not a baby...a Minnie!! We traded in the Shasta for an RV, and her name is Minnie, and we love her and can't wait to start the camping season. It's now finally starting to warm up and we're getting anxious! We did a dry run at Dan's dad's over Easter and that was fun, but too short. Hopefully we'll take her to Timberland next weekend. I'll keep you posted! Happy Spring!!

Happy Fall!

Last weekend Holly and I took the kids to the Pleasant Valley Tree Farm in Colfax. It was an awesome place...they had so many things for the kids to do, including two bounce houses!! Further down you'll see a few pics of this Halloween. Caleb and Cailey were Bat Man and Bat Girl this year. (she has to do whatever he does!) We took the kids downtown during the day and then the dads went with the kids around the neighborhood later that night. After that we hung out at the Sanborn residence for some cocktails while the kids burned off some of that energy!!

Jellystone Park, Wisconsin Dells
Back in July, we took a family trip to Jellystone Park. We did a Sun-Thurs thing in order to avoid so many people. It was a very long trip, probably too long for 3- and 5-year-olds. By Wednesday Cailey was saying she wanted to go home!! We spent a lot of time at the pool...a LOT. Unfortunately, Caleb wasn't tall enough to go on the big waterslide...he was bummed about that. They had "Hey Rides" every day at 11 and 9, as well as many other activities for the kids that involved the Yogi characters. We met Yogi, Boo Boo and Cindy, but no pictures of Cindy, unfortunately. We met lots of really nice people...but most of them didn't know where Chippewa Falls was. I was surprised about that. A lot of them were from southern Wisconsin, as well as Illinois, though, so I guess that would make sense. ANYWAY, we had a great time and as I'm typing this I'm really missing the camper. We had some good times this summer. Not looking forward to being cooped up this winter. Looking forward to next spring to get going again...hopefully some of you will catch the camping bug and join us!!! :)
